was founded by Moffat Phiri, a Malawian, and Rosemary Gibbons Phiri, an American, who are committed to doing the will of God according to the Word of God.
Our vision is to provide opportunities for people to develop a quality of life so that spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual and social needs will be met. Through teaching and training, people can learn how to take responsibility for themselves and others. We do this in five ways:
- Training with an emphasis on leadership and spiritual development. We do this through classes, seminars and workshops.
- Caring for vulnerable children. We’ve taken in 12 boys and are raising them as our own. We also lead feeding and teaching programs that reach about 100 children each day.
- Pastoring one of the largest churches in the northern region of Malawi.
- Providing education scholarships. Tuition is required at all secondary schools, so it’s our goal to provide scholarships for as many students as possible. Once they finish, we can provide assistance for them to attend university or technical school.
|
- Establishing HIV/AIDS support groups for those infected with the disease. We provide information regarding health and nutrition, as well as share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with those facing an uncertain future.
The work that we do is divided between Mzuzu, a town in the northern region and Khombe, a village situated along Lake Malawi. A board and volunteers operate in the United States to oversee development and administration.
